Danny Way: 20 F#cking Years of Pro Skateboarding

Plan B Skateboards is proud to announce Danny Way’s 20 Year Pro Skateboarding Anniversary.
To celebrate all that Danny has contributed to skateboarding since 1989, Plan B has created a
new tribute website showcasing over a dozen of Danny’s best video parts, magazine covers
and photos. Video parts include Hocus Pocus, Speed Freaks, Risk It, Questionable, Virtual
Reality, Second Hand Smoke, Stars and Bars, XYZ, The Revolution, On Video, The DC
Video, The Deluxe Edition DC Video, plus new unseen bonus footage edited together with the
best of Danny’s Plan B promo footage. Also, coming in November, look for additional features
including a special tribute clip featuring interviews and stories from Hosoi, Lance Mountain,
Rodney Mullen, Jim Thiebaud, Jamie Thomas and many more.

In addition to the DW20 website, Plan B has also teamed up with legendary skateboard artist
Wes Humpston to create a special 20 Years board graphic. Designed in the spirit of his original
Dogtown board graphics, the classic cross and wings logo will be found on an old school
anniversary D.Way board as well as street, vert and mega pro boards along with t-shirts and
stickers. The DW20 Collection will be arriving in skate shops Spring 2010.

Also, just hitting skate shops is The Skateboard Mag issue #69 featuring a Danny Way 20
Year timeline article and a giant Plan B poster with all of Danny’s most memorable photos.

And…photographer Mike Blabac has selected several of his classic Danny Way photos that will
be made into limited edition photo prints. For a limited time you can go to his website
(blabacphoto.com) from the Plan B site and buy signed Danny Way prints in two sizes.

Plan B would like to thank all of Danny’s family, friends, fans, sponsors, photographers and
filmers for all the love and support over the last 20 years.

Pros inducted into Skateboarding Hall of Fame

October 24, 2009 is a date that is sure to go down in history. The International Association of Skateboard Companies (IASC) will join hundreds from the skate community to honor and induct skateboarding icons; Bruce Logan, Tony Alva, Tony Hawk and Danny Way; into the Skateboard Hall of Fame at the official inaugural celebration.

"Skateboarding has grown up, and not in a bad way - we can look back and be proud of the history of our sport," said John Bernards, executive director of IASC. "Taking the opportunity to acknowledge and honor the individuals who have so greatly influenced and shaped the industry allows us to look forward to the future of skateboarding without ever forgetting our roots and everything it took to get where we are today each and every shenanigan, triumph and challenge."

The Vans Skatepark at the Block in Orange, CA, will host the historical, invite-only event. In addition to a live musical performance, guests will enjoy cocktails and appetizers and have the opportunity to bid on a large selection of invaluable memorabilia at both a silent and live auction. Proceeds from ticket sales and auction items will benefit the Go Skateboarding Foundation. The non-profit organization provides positive educational experiences, career-minded programming, and scholarships for skateboarders. The foundation also donates to various skateboard-related charities, including: The Tony Hawk Foundation, Ray Underhill, the Johnny Romano Foundation, and the Patrick Kerr Foundation.
