The GPT 2010 Granite City Days Game of SK8 is THIS SUNDAY!  This will be a FREE Skateboarding Event at Lake George in St. Cloud.  Along with the Game Of SK8, The Youth Shelter Supply will be hosting a FREE BBQ and ROCK STAR ENERGY DRINKS will be supplying FREE REFRESHMENTS.  We will also be filming the event for a web edit!

Skate Unity is off to a great start! Tons of people have been viewing and bidding on the art displayed at The White Horse Bar and Restaurant. If you haven't stopped by The White Horse to check out all the artwork; your blowing it. Stop by and support your local skate scene by helping to raise money for the St. Cloud Skate Plaza!

They are moving forward with the proposed St. Cloud Skate Plaza.  As of now, the City of St. Cloud is proposing to put the Plaza at the Heritage Park/ Nature Preserve right across the street from Cub Foods West.  This would be a great location for one of the biggest Skate Plaza's in the country. 

So far the proposal has passed the City's Parks and Recreation Board, but next we need to get the Planning Commission to give their approval.  There is a public hearing scheduled for JANUARY 12th at 6:00pm at City Hall.  WE NEED ALL SKATERS and FRIENDS and FAMILY MEMBERS of Skaters to show up at that meeting and show how many people have been waiting for years for this PLAZA to get approved!

Good news. Your letters are helping... BUT WE STILL NEED MORE!

So far we've only heard from a small percentage of you. There are important votes coming soon from both the Planning Commission and the City Council and they need to hear why you think Heritage Park is the right location for our new skate plaza.
